Our
Resource Centre stocks hundreds of daily living aids for visually
impaired people. Welfare staff are on hand five days a week
to recommend and demonstrate a large variety of equipment,
from simple talking clocks right up to electronic reading
aids. Whatever the need, we use our equipment and our knowledge
to minimise the destructive impact of sight loss, so that
our clients can live the fullest lives available to them.
Also
at our centre we have kitchen equipment that shows how people
with low vision can organise a kitchen. It is stocked with
a wide range of innovative equipment to help clients cook
and work in their kitchen, safely. Our Resource Centre has
a wide variety of products available to buy there and then,
all designed to help sight impaired people perform everyday
tasks more easily. These include:
• Talking Clocks and Watches
• Talking Microwaves and Scales
• The latest DAB radio
• Talking mobile phone
• Signature Guides
• Large Print Calendars
• Sunglasses
• Walking Sticks and Canes
• Magnifiers
• Screen Readers
• ... and a host of other items, too many to list.
Open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00pm.
The best way to find out about the equipment and
techniques we have on offer at our Sight Advisory
Centre is to come and see us. We may be able to
help in ways that you never imagined possible.
