for you to find work
Are
you currently unemployed but interested in paid or voluntary
work? Oxfordshire Association for the Blind have teamed up
with RNIB to launch a new employment service, providing face
to face employment support for people seeking paid or voluntary
employment; along with advice for those who just want to consider
their options.
Not
only can this scheme help you to find your way to the work
that suits you best, it also offers reassurance and backing:
a way of ensuring all local companies comply with the 2005
Disability Discrimination
Act.
What
we offer:

One to one support to consider employment options.

Support to find work placements, voluntary work or paid positions.

Help with CV’s, job searching, completing application
forms and interview preparation.

Advice on Access to work and job retention.

Bus
passes and “travel tokens” from South Oxfordshire
District Council
South
Oxfordshire District Council are currently offering
free national bus passes, or travel tokens, to their blind
and partially sighted residents.
The
national bus pass allows you, and a companion, free travel
on local bus services. Alternatively, you could choose to
take some travel tokens.
The
travel tokens allow you to travel on busses, taxis, and to
purchase rail cards.
